Jasper Philipsen confirms his participation in the Gran Canaria 365 initiative
Renowned Belgian cyclist Jasper Philipsen, one of the top figures in the international peloton, has confirmed his participation in the Gran Canaria 365 initiative, a project that promotes the island as an ideal year-round cycling destination. The event will also feature, among others, four-time Tour de France winner Slovenian Tadej Pogačar.
Philipsen, currently a member of the Alpecin-Deceuninck team, has established a strong professional cycling career. He has been a prominent figure in the Grand Tours, particularly the Tour de France, where he has achieved a total of 10 stage victories and won the points classification in the 2023 edition. His ability to excel in explosive finishes and his consistency at the top level of cycling have made him a modern reference in stage finales.
Gran Canaria 365 was created with the vision of establishing the island as an international reference for cycling. This strategy has been designed by DG Eventos and Gran Canaria Tri Bike & Run, with the sponsorship of Turismo de Gran Canaria.
From November 24 to 30, 2025, cyclists will participate in training sessions across various locations on the island, taking advantage of its exceptional climate, high-quality infrastructure, and diverse landscapes. The event will culminate in the iconic TotalEnergies Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves.
Philipsen’s participation in Gran Canaria 365 represents a significant boost for the initiative, which aims to position the island as a key destination for both professional and amateur cyclists thanks to its climate, infrastructure, and unique scenery.
