Gran Canaria 365

World Champion Magdeleine Vallieres Joins Gran Canaria 365

Gran Canaria continues to establish itself as the epicenter of international cycling. Canadian cyclist Magdeleine Vallieres Mill, the newly crowned 2025 Road World Champion, has confirmed her participation in the Gran Canaria 365 initiative, promoted by Turismo de Gran Canaria through the Tri Bike & Run program and DG Eventos. The event will take place on the island from November 24 to 30.

Gran Canaria will host Vallieres and Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar, who has also been confirmed as part of the project and serves as an ambassador for Gran Canaria 365. This unique combination strengthens the island’s position as a world-class destination for cycling.

A Historic Champion

At just 24 years old, Magdeleine Vallieres made history last September in Kigali, Rwanda, by claiming the rainbow jersey at the Road Cycling World Championships, becoming the first Canadian in history to win this title. Her attack on the final climb allowed her to cross the finish line solo, marking one of the great achievements of the cycling season.

The EF Education–Cannondale rider will be among the international stars sharing training sessions, routes, and experiences in Gran Canaria.

During their stay, Vallieres y  Pogačar will take part in the TE Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves, one of the most demanding and spectacular events on the amateur cycling calendar.

Gran Canaria 365 is a strategic initiative aimed at promoting the island as a top cycling tourism destination, thanks to its climate, road network, and unique terrain.
