World champion Magdeleine Vallieres joins Gran Canaria 365

The island will bring together three world champions alongside Tadej Pogačar and Ricardo Ten

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, October 20, 2025 – Gran Canaria continues to solidify its position as the epicenter of international cycling. Canadian Magdeleine Vallieres Mill, the recent 2025 World Road Cycling Champion, has confirmed her participation in the Gran Canaria 365Tourism Gran Canariathrough the Tri Bike & Run program and DG Eventos, which will take place from November 24 to 30 .

Gran Canaria will host Vallieres and Slovenian Tadej Pogačar, also confirmed as part of the project and ambassador of Gran Canaria 365. A unique combination that reinforces the island's position as a world-renowned cycling destination.

One historic champion and three world champions

At 24, Magdeleine Vallieres made history last September in Kigali, Rwanda, by winning the rainbow jersey at the UCI Road World Championships, becoming the first Canadian woman ever to achieve this title. Her attack on the final climb allowed her to cross the finish line solo, marking one of the greatest feats of the cycling season.

The EF Education–Cannondale rider will be one of the international figures who will share training, routes and experiences in Gran Canaria.

During their stay, Vallieres, Pogačar and Ricardo Ten will take part in the TE Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves, one of the most demanding and spectacular events on the cycling calendar.

Gran Canaria 365 is a strategic initiative to promote the island as a top-level cycling tourism destination, thanks to its climate, road network and unique topography.
