Gran Canaria, November 24, 2025 - Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar , a four-time world champion, arrived in Gran Canaria, where he will stay for a week to train as part of the on Monday Gran Canaria 365 initiative , of which he is one of the ambassadors.
Also arriving on the island is the multi-time Slovenian national champion Urška Žigart , from the AG Insurance – Soudal team .
The cyclists were welcomed by Daniel González, manager of DG Eventos, and Beñat Intxausti, Manager RidersinA&J All Sports Agency.
From November 24 to 30, more than twenty cyclists from the international peloton will carry out training sessions at different points on the island, culminating in the demanding TotalEnergies Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves, this coming November 30.
The initiative also includes a press trip with international media to reinforce the promotion of Gran Canaria as a privileged setting for professional training and active tourism.
Gran Canaria 365 is a project created by DG Eventos and promoted by Turismo de Gran Canaria, through Gran Canaria Tri Bike & Run, with the aim of consolidating a sustainable development model around sport, nature and the privileged climate of the island.
